My names are Simon MUGABUSHA, I was privileged to be among children who were supported and raised at Cité Nazareth Mbare (Nolite Timere) From 2001 to 2007 I was facing life difficulties financially and emotionally. At that moment, Cité Nazareth Mbare (Nolite Timere ) took me in and raised me with an amazing group of sisters who took good care of me. Not only me but other children as well for there were so many children who were being raised at Cité Nazareth Mbare all of them had different life problems many caused by the genocide against the Tutsi that happened in 1994. That time I did not have hope just sadness and loneliness that caused me to be depressed. But I thank God that heroes in life still exist for Cite Nazareth Mbare has been our refuge and God used and continues to use these amazing people of God to care for the needy like me and other children back then. Today we became men and women because of Cite Nazareth Mbare. They taught us with care and love how to be dignified men and women. We are eternally thankful to those who sacrificed their lives for us so that we might be able to study all the way to university studies. We thank his holiness Pope Jean Paul II to have given us the Cité Nazareth Mbare, I want to thank organization of Roma, Nunciature Apostolic in Rwanda, especially Bishop Pennacchio Salvator who has been a continued support to us, Father Miguel through Vice Foundation Onlus, and Conference Episcopal Rwanda, I say thank you.
As for me, I became a man started a family, and got an opportunity to be among the teaching staff at Cité Nazareth Mbare, and others have become men and women and are well on with their lives.
I want to encourage everyone who was raised at Cité Nazareth Mbare wherever you might be now, that this is the time to give back and support the little ones that are still being raised at Cité Nazareth Mbare.
Many thanks to sisters MUSABYEMARIY Drocella and others who showed us love and care throughout the times we were at Cite Nazareth Mbare.
